Christmas Spirit

I am trying my hardest to hold on to the Christmas spirit
...it is very hard thinking about all of those children,
their families and the staff. Praying for them to have strength to carry on....
Here are some of our favorite things we put out  for the holiday ........
we have yet to put up a tree

The tears have been flowing and yet, we continue to hide this from our six year old. Despite all the heaviness right now, I think we all need to lean on each other and enjoy the beauty of Christmas. Your decorations are lovely. Christmas hugs.

Yes I understand I was having such a hard time moving forward, the decorations seemed so frivolous with so much heart ache in Conn. But then I was thinking about my grands and yesterday when little Knox 2 years old walked in and saw our little pine, he was so excited.. it was a very grateful feeling. Happy Holidays oxox, Diane

I came by to say thank you for the nice compliment you left on my blog....I felt the same way you did for a while, and then I decided I needed the child like magic of Christmas to surround me....it makes me feel better and I KNOW those children and teachers are all happy and safe, it is their families and community that I feel so sad about....I adore your blog! Going on my sidebar for sure....I wish you and yours a Blessed and Merry Christmas! :) Sandy @ 521 Lake Street
